I was raised in Lennox, CA for the early part of my childhood. It was a small (lower income family) town where gangs ran the streets and graffitti marked their territory. Back then I can't say that any of my homies had been shot from a drive-by, but I knew of some that would eventually end up in prison for killing someone from a rival gang.I even had close friends that eventually became drug dealers as well; some got busted for their career choice, some became successful at it. There were good times in the midst of a neighborhood running-down. To stay out of trouble, me and few friends would break dance in the streets or in someone's backyard while bumpin' the jams on Cosmic's ghetto box.I did have a lot cool friends with whom I played football in the street, ride bikes, or just hang with. At the same I had other homies droppin' out of Little League Baseball to join a gang; I had a different agenda, become a DJ. .... Mo 'bout Tha Hood
